The Environmental Services industry comprises the Cleaning, Waste Management and Pest Management sub-sectors. It is made up of more than 2,000 establishments and includes a mix of both international and local enterprises.
The industry has a workforce of over 80,000 individuals who are employed in a diverse range of jobs. These include general cleaners to engineers and specialists in waste collection, recycling and waste treatment. It consists of environmental health and safety professionals as well.

SCHEDULE & COURSE OUTLINE:
Module 1: Equipment and Inventory Management
Year 2024: $316.10 (Full Fee) | $113.10 (With Funding)
This module is designed to train and equip current and future Cleaning Supervisors with the technical skills and competencies to manage equipment and inventory.
Duration: 1.5 days

- 9 Mar (2pm-6pm) & 10 Mar 2024 (9am-6pm) (Sat & Sun)
Module 2: Customer Management (Supervise Service Operations)
Year 2024: $523.20 (Full Fee) | $187.20 (With Funding)
This unit covers the knowledge and skills required in planning to meet internal and external customer requirements, ensuring the delivery of quality service and monitoring and reviewing customer service.
Duration: 2.5 days

Module 3: Chemical Cleaning Handling and Effectiveness Management
Year 2024: $850.20 (Full Fee) | $304.20 (With Funding)
The aim of the course is to train and certify site managers to demonstrate and apply understanding of cleaning chemicals, methods & processes.

Module 4: Workplace Safety and Health System Management (Level 3)
Year 2024: $414.20 (Full Fee) | $148.20 (With Funding)
This module is designed to train and equip current and future Cleaning Supervisors to implement Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) procedures in order to maintain the WSH management system.
Duration: 2 days

Financial support/incentives for you to attend these courses:
Course fee support:
A) Additional SkillsFuture Credit of $500 (Mid-Career Support Scheme for Singaporeans aged 40 – 60) which can be used to pay for environmental service courses
B) NTUC UTAP: 50% of cash payment will be claimable for NTUC members (Up to a cap of $250 or $500, depending on age group)
C) SkillsFuture Credits (All Singaporeans) or PSEA (21 – 30yrs old/Singaporean)
Training Allowance support schemes:
A) Learners with WSS letter are eligible for: –
- Training Commitment Award: $200/year after completing 4 WSQ modules
- WSQ full qualification: $800 per qualification
- Training Allowance: $6/hr (subject to approval)
B) Absentee payroll Company-sponsored (NON-SME/SME) eligible to apply absentee payroll capped at $4.5/hr. From Jul 2023, Absentee Payroll (AP) for employer-sponsored trainees: 95% of hourly basic salary, capped at $13 per hour.
